Chapter 133: Fighting for Talent
You Fushi pretended not to hear and was about to walk out of the cave when Ye Su stopped him.
"You’re not going to tie your belt properly?" Ye Su pulled him back and looked down at the belt around Junior Martial Brother’s waist. It was tied into a complete mess, as if he had casually twisted it into a knot.
"I don’t know how." You Fushi said matter-of-factly.
Ye Su looked up at him. "You knew how two days ago, but you don’t know how today?"
You Fushi turned his face away, ignoring this mortal and maintaining his aloof image.
Ye Su stepped closer, reached out, untied his messy belt, and then tied it properly again. "You didn’t sleep on the bed, so why did you take off your clothes?"
You Fushi calmly lowered his head and watched Ye Su tie his belt for him. "I don’t know."
The next moment, Ye Su’s right hand went around his waist as she wrapped the belt around him. Her wrist extended slightly farther out from beneath her sleeve.
Both of them clearly saw the faint red mark around her wrist. It wasn’t deep, but someone had a guilty conscience. His body immediately stiffened, and Senior Martial Sister noticed.
Ye Su silently finished tying the belt before taking a step back. She raised her right hand and lowered her head to carefully examine the faint red mark around her wrist. Then she looked up at Junior Martial Brother. "You transformed into your true form?"
No wonder the Mist-Killing Flower had been left on the table first thing in the morning. She had also sensed something unusual about her wrist while in the Dark Realm.
You Fushi hadn’t expected to be caught so quickly. After secretly studying Ye Su, he saw no expression of disgust on her face. He slightly raised his chin and answered firmly, "Yes."
Ye Su: "……"
After that encounter outside Dinghai City, she hadn’t expected that they would later have any further interactions. This feeling…… wasn’t bad.
"Don’t casually reveal your true form outside next time." Ye Su instructed him. Her strength was insufficient, and sometimes she couldn’t cover for him under the watchful eyes of those elders and sect masters.
"There’s no one else here." You Fushi had already searched with his divine sense. Other than them, there was no one in the back mountain.
Ye Su took him out through the waterfall cave entrance without pursuing the matter further. She was only somewhat regretful that she hadn’t seen Junior Martial Brother’s true form.
She had always remembered the little black snake she saw outside Dinghai City.
……
With only one day remaining before they were due to go to Kunlun, two flying boats suddenly approached the Qianji Sect from two different directions. One was surrounded by an awe-inspiring sword aura, while the other was flamboyantly decorated.
The two flying boats made quite a grand display. When they passed by the Wuyin Sect, many disciples ran out, their faces full of shock.
"It’s the Wujian Sect and the Hehuan Sect." Xin Xin had gone to Kunlun for the sect competition, so he naturally recognized the two flying boats.
"Senior Brother, are those the two major sects?"
"Why are they coming back here? Are they here to see us?"
Xin Xin gripped his magical artifact. "All of you, go back and cultivate. They aren’t coming to our Wuyin Sect."
Many Wuyin Sect disciples had never seen such enormous flying boats before, so how could they bear to leave? They reluctantly looked back at the flying boats in the sky, only to discover that both flying boats eventually flew toward the direction of the Qianji Sect.
"Why are they going to the Qianji Sect?"
"Didn’t they say the Qianji Sect won the sect competition? Maybe they’ve established connections with a major sect."
"Go cultivate." Xin Xin said sternly. "None of this concerns us."
If the Wuyin Sect had a good relationship with the Qianji Sect, they could still make some inquiries. But the Wuyin Sect disciples had been at odds with the Qianji Sect disciples for so many years. No matter what connections they had now, they had nothing to do with the Wuyin Sect.
Meanwhile, the disciple sweeping the entrance of the Qianji Sect looked up at the two flying boats and was immediately startled. He shouted, "Enemy attack!"
In a flurry, a large group of disciples rushed into the plaza. Many of them were even holding all kinds of materials, all of them warily staring at the sky.
"Junior brothers and sisters, we’re an allied sect~" Mei Chou Ren was the first to emerge from the flying boat, his eyes shining. "Is this the Qianji Sect?"
The disciples became even more vigilant. Some had already begun contacting the sect master and their senior brothers and sisters.
"Why did you come here?" Ye Su and several others descended from Jiuxuan Peak on their swords. They were quite surprised to see the people from the Hehuan Sect.
"I’ve come under my master’s orders to specially invite the Qianji Sect to the Hehuan Sect to stay and have some fun for a while." Mei Chou Ren rubbed his hands together. "Master said to bring all of you over in one go…… the ma-ter-ials, forging materials, all of them are already prepared!"
"We agreed to go to our Wujian Sect." Xu Chengyu also emerged from the flying boat.
"The spiritual energy of the Hehuan Sect is no worse than that of the Wujian Sect. Our master also knows the Qianji Sect’s sect master; they almost became master and disciple." Yan Hao came over and said, "Brother Xu, how about this? Half of them go with you, and half come with us?"
Everyone from the Qianji Sect: "……"
Mei Chou Ren even brought out his trump card. "My master has a letter for the Qianji Sect’s sect master."
Before Ye Su could reach out to take it, Zhang Fengfeng had already come down. He still didn’t know what was happening. Seeing the two flying boats rushing toward the Qianji Sect, he had come down to see what was going on.
"What are you doing?" As soon as Zhang Fengfeng came down, the disciples immediately made way for him.
"Our Hehuan Sect wants to invite the sect master to stay with us for a while." Mei Chou Ren handed over a letter. "This is a letter written by our master."
Zhang Fengfeng took it and had just opened it when four heads poked over from behind and both sides. He quickly pressed the letter against his chest and scolded his eldest disciple, "What are you looking at! Turn around!"
Ye Su silently returned to her original position.
"You’re not allowed to look either. You, you too!" Zhang Fengfeng scolded his second, third, and fourth disciples one by one. "Learn from Yi Xuan and Fushi!"
The sect master secretly and quickly read through the letter. His expression changed several times. Finally, he raised his head, cleared his throat, and asked Mei Chou Ren, "Your master really isn’t at the Hehuan Sect?"
"Master is going to the Reincarnation Tower." Mei Chou Ren said. "She won’t return until everyone comes out of the tower."
Zhang Fengfeng pondered for a long time. With Wu Yue not there, his innocence as the sect master should be preserved. In the end, he said, "It’s not impossible."
"Master, we already agreed with the Wujian Sect that we would go there." Ye Su caught Xu Chengyu’s gaze and turned to Zhang Fengfeng.
"I’ll take half of the disciples to the Hehuan Sect. Ming Liusha, the three of you take care of the other half of the disciples." Zhang Fengfeng’s cultivation realm had never improved. Now that his disciples were advancing one after another at incredible speed, he didn’t want to hold them back either. "I also need to tell Yu Shoumen about this."
Ming Liusha and the other two began selecting junior brothers and sisters, doing their best to choose disciples who were skilled with swords, sabers, and other magical artifacts.
"Why did you come by flying boat?" Ye Su asked Xu Chengyu.
"Elder Xin said that we had to give his disciple’s sect some face, so the more arrogant, the better." Xu Chengyu explained. "Besides, it’s not exactly close for the Qianji Sect disciples to travel to the Wujian Sect. Some of the disciples also needed to return to the Wujian Sect, so we happened to come over this way."
Of course, Elder Xin’s bout of dramatic provocation was indispensable.
Ye Su nodded, then asked, "How’s the sword?"
At the mention of this, a smile appeared on Xu Chengyu’s face. "It’s very good."
The sword had been custom-made specifically for him, and with the Heavenly Dao’s blessing, there was no sword more suitable for him.
From top to bottom, the Qianji Sect was poor, so they quickly packed up their things. By the time Zhang Fengfeng came out of the Scripture Repository, the disciples had also been divided into two groups.
"Master, you go ahead and leave first." Ye Su said to Zhang Fengfeng. "We’ll also be going to Kunlun shortly."
Before leaving, Zhang Fengfeng looked deeply at Ye Su. "Eldest disciple, act within your limits. Master doesn’t want anything to happen to you."
Ye Su nodded. "I know."
The two flying boats came quickly and left just as quickly.
The Qianji Sect immediately became empty, leaving only Ye Su and the other three, Xu Chengyu, and the two people from the Hehuan Sect.
"Let’s go." Xu Chengyu took out the teleportation scroll and opened it. "They’re all waiting for us in Kunlun."
